How online and on location training reinforce each other.
Every day, thousands of people work on the Chemelot site—operators, technicians, contractors—for whom safety is never an afterthought.
For this group, the Chemelot Safety & Skill Center (SSC) was established in 2024. A place where practical, real-life training is the focus, with realistic setups, real scenarios, and real mistakes that need solving.
From day one, Safeday has been involved. Together, we ensure people arrive well-prepared, and are supported before, during, and after their training at SSC.
From registration to certification
Training at the SSC isn’t a standalone moment—it’s part of a broader journey. With Safeday, every participant is guided step by step.
1. Beforehand: ready to go
Everyone visiting the SSC begins with a digital Life Saving Rules training in Safeday—at their own pace and in the right language.
Next, participants can schedule their on-site training using our planning module, choosing a date and time that suits them.
2. Upon arrival: welcome and get started
On training day, each participant begins with an introductory video—produced by us.
Then, it’s time to get hands-on in the simulated work environment. Think flange setups, confined spaces, and lifting & hoisting techniques.
Each training station has a large screen displaying the assignment. Participants select their language, read the instructions, and carry out the task. These digital screens and interfaces were developed together with SSC, so on-site instructors can rely on consistent, multilingual guidance for each station.
3. Afterward: clear insight
Passed, failed, or no-show? It’s all immediately recorded in Safeday. Both the participant and their employer receive automatic notifications.
If the participant passes, the certificate is automatically added to their Safeday ID.
